This was the 2nd year North Antrim have run the U8 Indoor Hurling League, which is proving to be as popular as ever amongst these young players. This year we had over 38 team entries from around Ulster in this North Antrim competition, competing to secure their place over a few weeks for a chance to play in the U8 Indoor Finals.
It was great to see such a big turnout of players, parents and supporters on the day which really did add to the atmosphere of the finals in Ballymena Leisure Centre on Saturday past. North Antrim would like to make a special mention for Omagh St Enda’s for making the trip to Ballymena where they narrowly missed out on the Division 3 title in a very competitive game of Hurling. We hope to see Omagh St Enda’s competing once again in North Antrim in the not to distance future.
A special thanks goes to our referee on the day Eamonn Eillott and the NA Officials who helped on the day. North Antrim would also like to thank all the teams and players who took part in the competition this year making it such a success.
The results of finals were as follows:
Division 6 Winners – Brid Og
Division 5 Winners – St Enda’s
Division 4 Winners – Cuchullians Dunloy
Division 3 Winners – St Brigid’s Cloughmills
Division 2 Winners – Loughgiel Shamrocks
Division 1 Winners – Kickhams Creggan
